Relevance of BH4 NOS Ammonia and Neurotransmitters in Prevention and Recovery of ASD/PANS through pathway planning and immune shifting.
Looking more closely at specific mutations and BH4 cycle relevant to causation of autism spectrum and related disorders. BH4 is necessary for neurotransmitter formation and for working across NOS in clearing ammonia and towards Mitochondria for health. Instead, we often have mast cell activation and Th2 locked im- munity and Th17 rising autoimmunity, with inflammation and overproduction of antibodies, and are lacking Th1 activation of macrophages to kill pathogens. The cycle can keep some individuals trapped in ASD/PANS but research and anecdotal evidence are showing support of specific mutations, and immune shifting, may be able to break the cycle and get individuals out of ASD/PANS/Lyme/mold/asthma altogether.

Maria Janik, CHC, RMP, BR, is the mother of two boys diagnosed with Autism in 2006. She co-founded Indiana Biomedical Kids (IBK) online support group for families in Indiana and around the world seeking alternative and traditional therapies to help improve the quality of life for their children. That same year Maria co-founded as a Board Member of the National Autism Association of Indiana and serves as the Chapter President. Her organizations not only bring awareness, but they also bring hope and treatment options to parents including the latest in scientific research. She shares information so families may learn and work with their medical clinician to develop a custom program for their child including using appropriate dietary intervention and supplements for proper biomedical intervention for the individual.
