Overview

How Genetic Testing Results in Improved Outcomes Mitochondria, methylation, inflammation, microbiome, nutrition, and toxins, oh my! There are so many talks on the causes and treatment options for autism, but can they all be right? Learn what reading the full DNA code (whole genome sequencing, WGS) in thousands of people with autism tells us. Dr. Boles will walk you through this complex subject to show how modern genetic testing revealed the causes of disease in individual patients he is following, and in many cases identified a treatment that worked. Additionally, WGS in Dr. Temple Grandin will be used to illustrate the powers and limitations of genetic testing in autism. Genetic causes do not exclude environmental causes, and certainly do not exclude meaningful recovery through treatment. So, who was right and who was wrong regarding the causes of autism? Come and listen. Hint, autism is complex, and most everyone has a valid point.
